Earth Online – a virtual MMORPG that takes place in the future year of 2190 – a game that everyone will bet their futures on. Set in a map that is ten times the size of real-world Earth, players battle for supremacy in the first game to feature personal adventure, territory construction, and grand warfare. For every death you experience in the game, your level would drop back to zero. Ouyang Shuo, an above average player, suffered the ultimate betrayal. For merely a piece of equipment, his sworn brother betrayed and backstabbed him. This time, after he reincarnated in the game, Ouyang Shuo swore to exact vengeance.
However, in an unexpected turn of events, Ouyang Shuo found himself back five years before the betrayal – right before the launch of Earth Online. This time, armed with the knowledge from his past life, Ouyang Shuo would venture upon a new path.
How to perfectly complete quests? What historical battle maps would appear? How should one build up their territory? Utilizing the experience from the predecessors of his last life, Ouyang Shuo makes his bid for the top against all odds. Follow his journey as he seeks to lord over the world!
A different kind of tale that blends historical characters and virtual reality gaming, with heavy emphasis on kingdom building and warfare.

Chinesse historical figure is so amazing! Well yeah and then proceed to get slaved by tiny islands Japan empire lol
One of, if not the best story I’ve read in hear 10/10 would recommend
Disclaimer: This is NOT an adventure novel. This is a full-blown Kingdom-Building novel with a dash of Chinese History Lesson. If you enjoy either, you'll love every second of reading this. For anyone wondering if they want to go in, this is the best kingdom-building novel I've managed to find in my 5+ years of daily reading. It doesn't suffer from MC being unreasonably OP or finding a hidden treasure that changes it all. The progression is extremely logical and gradual, with increasingly higher technological level and increasingly grander territory influencing the scale of conflicts we encounter. The novel is based around a lot of historical events and characters recreated in the game - mostly Chinese, since that's the MC's nationality (we do go global eventually, though). The historical parts are enchanting to read. An incredibly impressive novel overall. Author is a sis-con though and I wish he'd shut up about how cute and special (for no reason at all) the MC's little sister is.
Read a lot of this. Another one bragging about chinese history being so out of the world and amazing at it's true core. Despite that. The story is good, has a lot of lacking parts like how real people talk the same as npcs, very weak dialogue, but passable if you have nothin to read or seemed interesting to you.
I wanted to read it but found that the translation is only up to chapter 712, rest 713-1451 is MTL. Any idea if there is somewhere full human translation ?
Guys Is the game a real world or just a vr game ??
can anyone suggest similar light novels for kingdom building i have read lords empire ,my doomsday territory ,Armipotent and few lord of the people series type novel, its looks like no kingdom building novel left to read...
How do you all follow so many Chinese names?? With dozens of villagers all the names just run together. Do you no life cultivation readers just get used to it?
One of the few novels which I have completed. Otherwise there are some novel which at some point I just don't feel like continuing them but this one was really good. World building was great and the character development/interaction were good. Too underrated
This is the best kingdom building novel out there. Everything is believable or in the believable scale. Story is smooth not much plot hole to jump you out of the story. Also about national tag. It's Chinese novel so you should expecting some China loving but other countries isn't suck. In some aspect other countries in this novel is more developed than China. You need to try it if you want to know how to feel when read a good kingdom building story.
