To add onto what the other guy said. 1. Yes there is somewhat romance but it isn't to do with the fiancee. It was with a mermaid named Xie Han Mo from his previous before he became immortal and went onto the path of evil. You will learn about her in the future but in FY's words she was the first one he ever fell in love with. She doesn't exist in current life and probably never will. 2. There was a chance for her to revert back which FY was helping her yet she eventually betrays him. At some point something happens to where she is permanently female
