Summary

On just another normal Monday, the world changed. The universe had reached a threshold humanity didn’t even know existed, and it was time to finally be integrated into the vast multiverse. A world where power is the only thing that one can truly rely on.

Jake, a seemingly average office worker, finds himself thrust into this new world. Into a tutorial filled with dangers and opportunities. In a world that should breed fear and concern, an environment that makes his fellow coworkers falter, Jake instead finds himself thriving.

Perhaps… Jake was born for this kind of world, to begin with.

The pacing is very slow. The narration is also very verbose, rather than shorten it— it was lengthened instead by the author. The story isn't bad as it has interesting concept and grammar is also quite clean with very few mistakes, but MC is the one that ruining this for me, MC is someone with attention span of a goldfish, he always take notice of a lot of unnecessary things and as if it will kill him if he stops making comments about every single thing which annoy the f*ck out of me. And when it's time for some info dumps the MC will keep making boring dry jokes in between, thus lengthening the explanations and sometimes he will insert something completely unrelated which derails the topic even more. Also MC is an adult office worker but with a teenage boy maturity, awkward, chunni, stuttering mess. I don't see any character growth tag so i doubt he will improve.

It’s a very rpg-like system. Characters have classes and professions to level up, they get stats, some fixed some free to use, there’s skills although with enough practice and insight one can use certain skills without having them in the system. Overall e very vanilla but well thought out system imo

Read almost 500 chapters so far & tbh it’s pretty good, there are a few controversial situations in regarding the Mcs viewpoint in slavery etc however the system & story is explained really well some parts may feel a bit slow but everything is explained properly. The best thing for me about this novel is that it has many interesting characters I would argue even more than the Mc & the world building is pretty great so far, a certain snake vs a drunkard that fight was probs my favourite too

This is my first comment I’ve made so I’m sorry if it’s sloppy… I highly reccomend this series to people , it’s not the best series I’ve ever read but it’s probably in my top 15 or so, I enjoy the audible version more because of its narrator ( I just like his voice for snakeboy and Jake ) but I will say the best parts are during the tutorial and towards the recent chapters ( middle chapters were good but just my honest opinion ). Tldr, The series is good just give it a chance and find out for yourself or don’t

I am someone who always wants everything to be perfect. And I see the author really emphasizes on the slavery part, and it's not just this novel, there are many novels that emphasize a lot on one part. If you read lotm, you will see that there is much more bad things in the world than slavery. But there is not much problem in this novel because I am still enjoying it, in other novels MC must be a cowardly fool and have a lot of mental problems in order for character development to happen. Or that MC's friends and teammates are so weak that they die with just one look, but MC always takes them with him and has to save them many times, which is really well written in this novel. In short, I like this novel so far.

Depends. Personally, I like it. The descriptions and fights are well detailed and good overall. However, some readers may dislike the over detailing, since it makes the story VERY slow in terms of pacing. The characters are very realistic and layered imo. Besides the occasional mob enemy, any character that "sticks around" will have a fitting backstory and personality. As for the actual story, it's... alright. The author sets up many storylines, but the basic premise is the Mc growing stronger. Past the tutorial (around 100 chapters), the narrative switches from action to slice of life. Then, it sticks to a general lifestyle theme from there on out. Overall, I'd say it's good if you enjoy slow burn slice of life with a side dish of action.

I like detailed novels but I hope this wont be "Dragon Ball"-like or "Blood Warlock" (if read it) like fights… cuz they tend to strecht extremely long

Blood warlock's author is a s*d*st who hides skill and weapon description just give mc a plot armor. I hated that very much

Does this deserve the dark and antihero tags? Because that’s what I’m looking for in a story. I’m still less than 100 chapters but so far it doesn’t seem like the MC is leaning that way. I know you have to give time for development but sometime the tags don’t match the story and I’m curious as to which it is before I invest a lot of time into this.

He ain’t really an anti hero unless you don’t mess with him, he’s true to his beliefs & because of his situation/what he has, he’s arrogant without really knowing

he isn’t an antihero at all. He just doesn’t follow rules. Idk how to explain it.
