For those of you that are deciding to read this or not, do it. It’s really good. Sure, the beginning is slow, and it’s more like a slice of life novel compared to cultivation filled with action. But it really steps it up when he starts cultivating on his own. In my honest review, it’s an 8-8.5/10. Pretty good read overall, good fresh plot (at least it’s new to me), well made power system (so far) and good combat. Oh and there’s some comedy slipped in there as well. So if you’re on the edge, I’d say give it a try, and if it’s kinda ‘meh’ at the beginning, stick it through cause it gets really good later on
9.5/10, its funny most of the time the beginning isn't perfect but thats because worldbuilding for something so huge is difficult, the quest or die goes away after a short while great read.
I just realized that if you zoom in on the cover you can see what I assume to be the midnight manor (along with little blue flying around in the background 😂) and tbh, whenever I read about the manor I always pictured it as something with darker wood, and a more gray stone even tho it wasn’t described that way… but now that I got this mental image of how it actually looks and I’m conflicted
