[You've leveled up]

This is a kingdom-building, evolution story which sees Lucius encounter beings from different species, spreading his influence and 'mystical' powers.

***

This novel is more a cultivation novel than it is a system novel. The system just adds extra aspects to the cultivation trope, however, this is a cultivation novel at its core.

The start was good, but it just.. idk, not for me. Can't say its slow paced but it's not fast either. Good world building and characters but the story itself? it's just broing. In my opinion anyways. It's a good read for beginners but not for any intermediate level readers and above

Well writing style was good and worldview and some concepts and colourful characters. But I went in expecting a fun filled adventure, kingdom building, power up novel. But this one ehhhhh... It's tragedy filled jungle xianxia. Where Mc is the supposed chosen one, who gets randomly abused by higher tier creature, confused about his goal, overly dramatic. Author is trying to make readers feel bad about mc's past, death of some no named characters and so on. It's just not for me... I dropped it around 170 chaps. But sure go ahead if you are into it. It's incomparable to an art like chrysalis.

there's this manhwa/manhua ( I'm not entirely sure) But the Title is Called " Evolution Begins With a Big tree " if you want to dive in in this novel , I recommend to read that first so you have some references and visualization for some characters

Beginner readers should read this novel. Well , if you can't find new novels to your liking or your *life* options have long been "exhausted",,, then make do with this.😁

The fact that I'm seeing a lot of chrysalis comments should mean this is good right Right?

I just finished reading the first 2 volumes of this novel (173 chapters). This might be a good novel to some people, but Chrysalis is just better in every aspect imaginable. Why would I continue something that feels like a degraded version of something better? So I decided that I won't continue reading this. This is a 'kingdom building'-focused novel. What I liked about Chrysalis is that Anthony formed the Council of 20 to practically skip this hassle and continue to his (mis)adventures. I just see Lucius building everything from scratch, micromanaging his Commune, and dealing with trade and political affair with other species to be especially boring.

I reached 1100 in chrysalis and it's freaking awesome. Do you have any recommendations similar to Chrysalis? I've read LoTM (pretty epic) though

Anthony is an elite mc. For someone as 'unhinged' as him to be able to cope and make smart decision is funny. It's like a mix of Klein+Frank Lee, two best friends uwu

Is good or no bueno? β€’ 4 chapters reminded me that plants can photosynthesize. That answers the question, it’s good.

It's extremely good. Keep reading till he reaches the family. I noticed a couple of grinding /filler chapters. I just simply skim /skip through them. Though they are very lesa

Chrysalis is quite slow early on. But when he meets his family it goes from 1 to 120 indeed.

PL(ANT) Turns out, at the core of every good plant, is a happy little ant. But for real, Anthony's life is too stressful. Throw me in a tree for my next life.
